About Us

KIBUMI Roadmap & Future Timeline

Our journey towards building a sustainable circular economy ecosystem.

2019 — Founded to Pioneer Responsible Waste Management

KIBUMI was established as a responsible waste-management company with a mission to transform waste into valuable resources and accelerate Indonesia’s transition toward zero waste to landfill.

Impact: Reached 1,000 households and successfully managed 720 tons of waste.

2020 — Developing Collection Systems for Recyclable Materials

KIBUMI expanded its capabilities by designing and optimizing recyclable-material collection systems, strengthening partnerships with the informal sector and improving supply-chain efficiency.

Impact: Built a network of 30 collection partners, enabling the management of 1,200 tons of recyclables.

2021 — Scaling Informal-Collection Networks Across Key Regions

We accelerated growth by expanding our collection network across East Java, West Java, and Greater Jakarta, creating a more integrated ecosystem between collectors, aggregators, and recycling industries.

Impact: Reached 120 collection partners with 3,600 tons of materials managed.

2022 — Expanding into EPR Implementation Services (P75/2019)

KIBUMI evolved from an operational platform into a strategic implementer of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), supporting companies in meeting regulatory obligations under Ministerial Regulation P75/2019 through digital tools, traceability systems, and end-to-end execution support.

Impact: Supported 2 national companies, enabling 4,000 tons of responsible recovery.

2023 — Building Consulting & Research Practice in Circular Economy

We launched a dedicated consulting and research line, covering Circular Economy, Sustainability, Environmental Services, EPR system design, and Recycling-sector development, including multi-stakeholder engagement at national and regional levels.

Impact: Delivered 10 national-level projects.

2024 — Recognized as a Trusted Global Partner in Circularity & EPR
